Finchley Street - Milton

Project Infomation

Finalist in 2017 Brisbane Regional Architecture Awards - Commercial Architecture.

The Finchley St Warehouse conversion is a unique project where an old car workshop has received a new lease on life as trendy office space. This 400sqm open plan office + 120sqm of roof deck overlooking the city and XXXX brewery creates an impact on its surroundings with its bold use of colour and materials.

An important part of the project for HPC architects was to re-use the existing structure, including steel beams and concrete floor, and give it new life and context. Another crucial element of the design brief was to encourage natural light to enter the building and take advantage of the available views. This has been achieved by incorporating roof skylights and significant fenestration to the south-eastern elevation.
