Coffee Anthology, the highly revered 2016 winner of ‘top cafe’ in Australia, approached HPC to redesign their existing shop located in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD.

The aim was to create a space that exemplified industrial chic whilst also providing a warm and inviting space with an improved street presence.

The design takes cues from the existing fit-out extending and improving upon the language of the space. Brick walls, stone counters, timber screens and benches were implemented to create a contemporary and timeless interior.

Change to the spatial arrangement increased opportunity for patronage in the internal and external seating areas. Simultaneously, the design provides a sense of place and connectivity between the indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Introduction of lighting and greenery soften the lines of the industrial elements and create a beautiful vignette.

The refurbishment incorporates custom joinery, providing a solution unique to the clients desires for the space. The custom elements allow for a larger kitchen and preparation area with custom tables and booth seating allowing for a comfortable and welcoming space for a catch up with friends or a business lunch.
