Moonyah

The Salvation Army Brisbane Recovery Centre

Project Infomation

“Moonyah” located in Red Hill is The Salvation Army Brisbane Recovery Centre and dormitory providing facilities for all people adversely affected by alcohol, drugs and gambling.

Catering for both individuals and groups, the wheelchair accessible building was designed to provide a space that accommodates for physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing. The centre provides 20 beds of accommodation, four consultation rooms, two group and two common rooms in addition to outdoor recreation areas.

Special care was taken during the design process to achieve a building that offers privacy and functionality whilst also facilitating a respectful and welcoming environment.
